Replacing Side-Bar Spring
This little spring is critical for proper pressure against the film as it moves along the Aperture Plate. It is seated under the SIDE PRESSURE BAR that itself sits on the Aperture Plate. Too much pressure, and the pressure plate in the Magazine may not press completely flush against the aperture plate. Too little pressure could reduce steadiness. It is one of the easiest parts to lose, as it likes to fling itself into the Ozone if given the slightest chance, and spares just don’t exist.
The MIN 14 isn’t a complicated part, and may very well be simple to make out of a piece of spring wire. Here are the specs:
- Thickness: .3mm
- Width: 20mm
- Height: 4.5mm
