A Tour of Optical-Electro House
Posted on April 26th, 2009 2 commentsHere are some great videos if you’ve ever wanted a look inside a camera repair shop. The guys at Optical-Electro House give us a glimpse into their shop, showing a bunch of gear including some Super-16 converted ACLs, an NPR in mid-upgrade and various custom lens mounts. At the end of part two, they explain the various steps that are done during a Super-16 conversion.

Hello!
I have an Eclair NPR, which I`d like to use as a combo suitable for both normal 16 and (European) super 16 format.
I know that you modify these cameras accordingly, but since they were originally not made for s 16, I wonder whether my CP – fully orientable – viewfinder (with extension tube) will provide a picture that covers the entire s 16mm range or whether in the corners a vignetting is noticeable.
What is your experience?
Best regards

Hey cremer, the eclair forum at cinematography.com is the best place to ask. Somebody there will know.
