Welcome to Eclair16.com
The source for information on Eclair 16mm film cameras.
Eclair: French for lightning
Eclair was a French/English company that designed and produced professional movie cameras used for independent films, documentaries and news gathering. The Eclair brand was acquired by Aaton and the innovative designs created at Eclair can be seen in modern film cameras. Eclair cameras continue to be used today by both indie and pro filmmakers.
Filmmakers and technicians around the world have graciously contributed their knowledge to this site. Whether you currently own an Eclair camera or are thinking about buying one, you will find plenty of helpful information here.
Your contributions are also welcome. Please feel free to leave a reply on any page of this site.
